Wildland Fire Season is always a concern in Southern Idaho. Fire prevention measures;
-Check your furnace filters and replace as needed. 
-Check your smoke and carbon monoxide detectors and replace batteries as needed.
-Make sure your electrical outlets are not overloaded with multiple items plugged in. 
-Please get your chimneys inspected and cleaned prior to any wood burning, the fire district responds to several chimney fires every year due to chimneys which simply needed to be cleaned. 
-Please contact the station if you are planning any sort of burn including recreational fires to avoid a accidental emergency response from the fire district. 
-Only natural materials are allowed to be burned within our district. No man made materials per the Department of Environmental Quality and other federal guidelines are allowed to be burned i.e.: plastic, rubber (tires), rail road ties, stained wood, etc.
